The Perfection of the White Rabbit

Before I start this article I would like to state for the record that this will most likely be released after Extreme Rules and the whole IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) have seen and are still talking about the return of Windham Rotunda or as everyone knows him as Bray Wyatt has finally returned to WWE at the very end of Extreme Rules and this also shows how much Triple H is trying to do certain wrongs by Vince into rights by bringing back Io Sky, Johnny Gargano, Karion Kross with Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, Hit Row, Dakota Kai and numerous more likely on the way in the coming months.

But this article isn’t about that it’s about how Hunter (this is how I will refer to Triple H during this article) has perfectly teased and kept us guessing who this mysterious “White Rabbit” was buckle up cause this is going to be one wild ride down the rabbit hole. We start this chase the week prior on a WWE live event on Sunday, September 18th when seemingly the lights go out and the song White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane seemingly plays during a break you would think they would play this with instruments but it was only the vocals playing making this very ominous, mysterious and offputting. Then on the September 19th edition of Raw, we get the very first QR code shown with the text “Come with Me” scanning said code would lead you to a video of a hangman game asking a simple question “Who Killed the World?” with the answer being “You Did” but not before crossing out the letters D-E-M-O-N which enough spells out the word demon. Interestingly enough the only missing one leg after it was completed but it then went into a checkered background saying “come with me” and the date 9-23, sure enough, that was the next episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

On the Sept. 23rd episode of Smackdown during the break White rabbit was played again, but I forgot to mention that the lights would occasionally turn red during the song but the next QR code gave us a game to play that was almost like PAC-man, once completing the game we get the rabbit going through a door and the word “patricide” and more coordinated. The definition of patricide means “The murder of one’s father” and the coordinates lead to the Rogers Arena in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Interestingly enough we didn’t get a QR code during Raw instead we got one during Clash at The Castle in Cardiff, Wales this code sent us to a TikTok user named “come with me” and had former WWE and ECW stars asking the same question as the hangman game “Who Killed the World?” and the same answer was the same “You Did” although this time a new phrase was said “Feed you Head” also White Rabbit is still being played during breaks. We also got numbers and moor coordinates but the numbers we got were 40701 which is the area code for Corbin, KY, and the numbers 44.244273.7.769737 we get a picture of a giant pink rabbit somewhere in Italy.

Now before we go on during this time fans were speculating who this mysterious white rabbit could be, the first person that was brought up before Bray was Karion Kross which at the time seemed like a very good guess but was then later debunked by Kross himself. When asked even he had no idea who it was because WWE talent was kept in the dark about the teasers and playing of White Rabbit. On the September 30th edition of Smackdown, we got the weirdest and most offputting teaser of them all and I mean OFFPUTTING, I’m just going to like this and you can watch for yourselves, this code showed the Three Little Pigs with pictures of pig heads and pig bodies that you would see in a horror movie as well as the big bad wolf and the wolf in grandmas clothing, I remember scanning that code watching that video and thinking this is creepy but it plays into the theme that these teasers have been setting up plus there was morse code playing during the teaser which was decoded read “Azazel Reborn” now Azazel is a fallen angel in the bible (I know weird) also there was a photo of a white rabbit that led to a phone number when called it would play something in reverse. This led to this “Bravo. Echo. Lima. Alpha. India. Romeo” which translates to “BELAIR” in the military alphabet. The words that follow, come from the quote from Dante Alighieri. Also during the show, there was a fan holding a sign that said “Revel in what you are” which people pointed out was fan art of The Feind made by Rob Schamberger. From here on the teasers wouldn’t be subtle as to who the White Rabbit was as the next two teasers blatantly revealed that it would be Bray.

Now here is the most confusing and interesting of the QR code teasers with the music still playing between breaks on October 3rd we got a webpage with a magic eye image and a portrait of the story of Samson and Delilah which is a direct reference to the odd relationship between Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt before he was unceremoniously released by WWE and betrayed in the storyline by Alexa. Now here is where it gets really interesting when the magic eye image in a Base 64 decoder you get the numbers 10822 which was the date of Extreme Rules also, some text was in the language the Predators speak I wish I was joking but I'm not the link is out there for you all to see for your selves. Now for the final teases before Extreme Rules, on the “Season Premier” of Smackdown this past Friday we got the final QR code teaser as well as more White Rabbit although it was somewhat different this time I’ll take more on that in a second. First, the Qr code gave us a video with the Three Little Pigs and someone banging on a door and saying let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in let me in ………………………………………………………………………………………. sorry got a bit carried away for a second but yeah talk about subtlety right? Also coming back from a commercial break we got a video of the rabbit finding a purple X on the ground and digging into the said hole before it burst into flames with demonic screeching and then going into the hole confirming that we will know who the white rabbit is Saturday, October 8th at Extreme Rules.

Now I’m writing this on Sunday, October the 9th the day after Extreme Rules and I already stated who the White Rabbit is but I’m going to talk about how perfect this reveal was. Now before the PPV even began there were people in white rabbit costumes handing out papers with crosswords and other biblical quotes and stuff like that, now during the show, we got two teasers one to start the show and one before the big reveal and it was the same video cut in two where the rabbit goes down the hole and then the one near the end was the part where fire erupts from said hole. Now here is the part where it was perfect we already knew it was Bray but they kept us waiting until the very end and I mean the VERY END I thought that it was gonna be a tune into Raw to find out the type of deal but no the lights went dark and we heard “He’s got the whole world in his hands” playing. We then saw the Firefly Funhouse characters come to life as they panned to Huskus the Pig, Mercy the Buzzard, Ramblin Rabbit, Abby the Witch, and surprisingly The Feind front row which got me thinking this isn’t the Bray that got released this is a whole new animal we are dealing with, it then pans to a door with light shining on the other side as it is forcefully opened we then go the Firefly Funhouse covered in cobwebs and abandoned with the puppet version covered in it with a distorted version of the funhouse theme playing we then see the tv spark on with Bray in a mask asking who killed the world although the answer was different saying “WE DID” and outcomes the man of the hour Bray Wyatt with the lantern bringing out his inner Michael Jordan saying “I’m Back” and then blowing out said lantern as his logo comes up and that’s how extreme rules ends.

Now here is the part where I just mark out and say how perfect this three-plus week has been for teasing one of the most interesting and adaptive wrestlers in the past decade taking a gimmick from the era of Hulkamania and adapting it into a real-life character that works in the times where kayfabe is nonexistent he makes this character work after all he is the son of IRS and his uncle was Barry Whyndam and his brother is Bo Dallas he has been immersed in the business since a child and knows the ins and outs on what makes a character work of fail. Also, it’s interesting to point out that the Funhouse characters including the Feind are alive and now it’s time to speculate who will be what person. I think that Huskus the Pig will be Joe Gacy, after all, he did post a pic of Philly trying to swerve us into thinking it was him plus he can learn from Wyatt seeing how Gacy has modeled his work somewhat loosely off Bray it would be a perfect fit. Mercy the Buzzard is an interesting one I think it could be Grayson Waller, now I know that sounds weird seeing as he is feuding with Apollo Crews in NXT right now but the fact that he had the head lantern in a promo makes it even the more interesting or the more likely person can be Dexter Lumis. Abby the witch is the interesting one being an iteration of Sister Abigail and I could be two people one seems most likely and the other a stretch, those two are Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss. Now I am confident that it’s going to be Liv seeing how she turned into a crazy masochist during the match she had against Ronda Rousey and her post-match interview sitting in a dark corner almost as if she has already lost her mind she seems like the most likely candidate for Abby now, Alexa Bliss could be in the realm of possibility seeing as she has worked with Bray in the past but I don’t think that will happen as she betrayed Bray at Wrestlemania so yeah I think most likely it will be Liv. Now Ramblin Rabbit, this is an interesting one as by the time this article is out it has been reported that Bo Dallas is making his way back to WWE so it’s most likely that he will work with his brother which makes sense. Now the Feind is obvious as Bray can turn into him at any beck and call since that was his persona so I won’t go into it that much. But, Overall this was a perfect way to bring back a very popular wrestler who had the whole crowd in the palm of his hand for just five minutes and it shows how wrong Vince McMahon was about Bray. But it’s going to be interesting to see what they do with Bray and how he will play in the main event landscape but overall a 10/10 reveal and I’m excited to see what Bray has been cooking up in that mind of his.
