The Perfection of the Conferences I Grew Up With
Just writing a love letter to the perfection of the conferences when I was growing up is not enough justice. The NCAA conferences I grew up watching made sense then, and it still makes sense today. Of course, at noon on a random Saturday in October, Maryland would be hosting Duke. A night game between BYU and TCU for the Mountain West title, yeah, that makes sense. Houston hosting SMU is on College Gameday; of course, it’s a massive rivalry with the CUSA on the line.

Expanding the UFL to 32 Teams
Three and a half years ago, I penned an article about the relaunch of the XFL in 2022. In which I laid out what a 32-team XFL could look like. Including the role of a minor league system in the NFL. Well, with the now UFL shuffling around several of its teams and announcing that the plan is to add 8 more teams to get to 16 teams in the 2030s, I thought what better time and way to bring the idea back up,

Finding the Tampa Bay Rays a Better Home
Currently, the Rays are playing in their home market at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, an 11,000-seat stadium owned by the New York Yankees. While the stadium is being utilized more efficiently than Tropicana Field was 88% capacity compared to 37% attendance has dropped significantly. Last season, the Rays averaged 16,515 fans per game, about 5,000 more than Steinbrenner Field can accommodate.
