The series is firmly in Mizzou’s hands 10-4
The Head Coach is Sam Pittman. Pittman is 23-24 in his fourth season with the Hogs. Pittman was the O Line coach for Mizzou in 2000. Pittman has been told he will return next year to the Piggies.
Beat FIU 44-20 last week
A run-heavy offensive attack this week
301 Passes TO 431 Runs
The starting QB for Florida is KJ Jefferson, with 188 completions on 294 attempts with 2,105 yards, 19 TDS, and eight ints. KJ is the great value version of Jayden Daniels, as he is the leading rusher for Arkansas by 100 carries and 100 yards.
Arkansas does not, beyond Jefferson, have one feature back, as three RBs have 60+ carries this year. So expect a constant rotation of RBs all game long for Arkansas, as none of the RBs stand out in TDs this year either.
Much like Ricky Pearsall last week, Andrew Armstrong is by far the most dangerous receiving target the Piggies have, as he has 400 more yards than the next closest receiver, with 52 receptions for 724 yards and four TDs. Two Hogs have 3 TD receptions this year.
4-2-5 for the Backs. They love to blitz their linebackers. They are an older defense, with only one underclassman on the starting rotation. Landon Jackson is a force up front with 6.5 sacks on the year. The O-Line will have to play more like they did vs Tenessee this week. McGlothern leads the team in INT’s with three.
