Ranking the Seven CFB Games B-Card Went to in 2025

This past year, B-Card traveled to five states to watch college football, with seven games played. From D2 rivalries to FBS heavyweight bouts, here are the seven CFB games B-Card went to in 2025, ranked from worst to best.

Springfield, Missouri
Missouri State's Plaster Stadium

Number 7 UT Martin vs Missouri State, September 20th, 2025. The first-ever trip to Plaster Stadium left much to be desired. Aside from the weather delay, it was a beatdown from the start as the Bears mauled the Skyhawks 42-10. As for the atmosphere, Tommy Hailey said it best, “I’m in a stadium that has negative stadium pulse. Didn’t think this was possible.”

Baton Rouge Louisiana
LSU's Tiger Stadium

Number 6 Louisiana Tech vs LSU, September 6th, 2025. Technically, the second trip to Baton Rouge for B-Card was my first trip to Tiger Stadium, and it left much to be desired. The LA Tech fans were louder than the LSU fans. While it was great to experience a night game in Death Valley, it was a slog to get through. It is very telling that the Saints vs Cardinals game was much more entertaining than the main reason B-Card went down to the bayou. Tigers did beat the Bulldogs 23-7.

Columbia Missouri
UMass with the ball

Number 5 UMass vs Mizzou, September 27th, 2025. Homecoming holds a special place in the hearts of all True Sons and Daughters, as Missouri is the creator. The tradition's call beckoned me back home to the place that holds so many memories for me. The game itself was nothing special as it was a 42-6 Tiger beatdown of the Minutemen. Nonetheless, it was more pleasant to watch compared to the previous games.

South Bend Indiana
Notre Dame Stadium

Number 4 Boise State vs Notre Dame, October 4t,h 2025. The main reason this game ranks at this spot is that it is the only college football game that I’ve thrown up at that wasn’t due to drinking. Few stadiums I’ve been to have lived up to the hype of being in South Bend. However, a random illness hampers what was a well-fought game by both teams. The Irish were able to pick up the 28-7 victory over the Broncos. This being the Irish Wear Green game made it slightly more special. Just not enough to get into the top half of the list.

Kansas City Kansas
Gorillas and Bearcats

Number 3 Pittsburg State vs Northwest Missouri State, November 15th 2025. The first neutral site game on this list. This game was played at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas, and was for the MIAA championship. To say emotions in the stands and on the field were at a fever pitch was an understatement to say the least. The rivalry means so much to both schools, and it showed. On this day, however, the series was tied up at 29 all with the Gorillas upsetting the Bearcats 27-14 and hoisting the MIAA championship up high.

Colorado Springs Colorado
Air Force passing the ball

Number 2 Army vs Air Force, November 1st 2025. The most American game that B-Card has ever attended. When the cadets took the field, it was for more than just school pride. It was from branch pride. The game did not disappoint. With both sides, pardon the pun, going to war with each other. It was a shame that only one team could win this game. On this day, the Black Knights got to sing second as they walked off the Falcons with a field goal to win the game. The only reason this is in second place is due to no fault of the game itself, but our own, as we missed the first ten minutes of the first quarter due to traffic.

Kansas City Missouri
A yellow flag in a sea of red

Number 1: The Kansas City Classic, Nebraska vs Cincinnati, August 28th 2025. Week one of college football set the tone for what B-Card was to expect from the college football season.  While this on paper was a home game for the Bearcats, Kansas City became Lincoln South as the Husker faithful showed out in full force. Both sides were treated to a game that we shall not soon forget and have shown that when B-Card is at a Nebraska sporting event, it will be a fantastic time for all involved. A highly contested game saw the momentum swing back and forth all game until the final minutes, when Nebraska was able to seal the win with a last-minute interception. The 20-17 final was a preview of what the 2025 CFB season had in store for the year. Hopefully, the Kansas City Classic returns in some form or fashion again in the coming years with other teams from the six-state area.
