The Kansas City Chiefs from 2018-2022 have the same results as The Greatest Show on Turf Saint Louis Rams from 1999-2001. 2 Super Bowl appearances 1 ring with the loss being to Tom Brady. Both have had amazing offensive firepower. The Rams great run was from 99 to 04.6 years long .The Chiefs have been at the level they are for 4 years so far. I’m not saying it’ll end the same but the parallels are staggering. Here’s how they compare offensively the years they won their respective Super Bowls (1999) and (2019). The Rams were 1st in Total offense the Chiefs were 5th. Interestingly the total defensive stats are quite similar as well. Once again looking at the years they won the Super Bowl. Rams ranked 4th overall and the Chiefs ranked 7th. Now for when they lost their Super Bowls to Tom Brady. Yes it’s weird I know. Offensively the Rams regained form and we’re the top ranked offense. The Chiefs same as well coming in at 6th. On the defensive side of the football is where both teams struggled. Rams D fell to 7th in 2001 which is still very good. The Chiefs dropped to 11th place in 2020. Are the parallels there yes do they mean anything. Maybe, maybe not only time will tell. But the good news for Chiefs fans is Mahomes has a long term contract already signed. The Rams didn’t do that with Warner and that lead to the downfall.
