Top 5 Best Minor League Team Names

This past week on Big Time Talkers they discussed their top 5 Minor League team names and no surprise that there were some hurt feelings on the picks. We will start first with Tommy Hailey who took 1 Toledo Mud Hens 2 Albuquerque Isotopes 3 Binghamton Rumble Ponies 4 Omaha Storm Chasers 5 Quad City River Bandits. The Mud Hens' first overall was a questionable decision more so with the picks made after them. Overall possibly the weakest of the draft this week. Ben came out swinging this week with his list with 1 Sugar Land Space Cowboys 2 Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 3 Pensacola Blue Wahoos 4 Gwinnett Stripers(Stripe Bass) 5 Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. Ben started hot but seemed to cool off as the draft went with the Stripers and Cannon Ballers. The final list comes from Brock’s draft from this week and his list could be the strongest of the three drafts. 1 Rocket City Trash Pandas 2 Amarillo Sod Poodles 3 Las Vegas Aviators 4 Louisville Bats 5 Frisco Rough Riders. The weakest of the five he picked is the Aviators however the Bats and Rough Riders saved him from sinking and botching another draft. Notables that were not taken were the Akron Rubber Ducks, Down East Wood Ducks, Aberdeen Iron Birds, Great Lakes Loons, Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Nashville Sounds, Hartford Yardgoats, Columbia Fireflies, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Round Rock Express and so many more.
